Director’s Corner

Dear Redeemer Families,
This is a monthly newsletter just for YOU! Each month we will share important updates, helpful tips, and more!
Happy June and Happy Summer Camp! We have an exciting summer planned for all of our Redeemer kiddos! We’re kicking off our first week with a visit from the Kona Ice truck (a fan favorite!).
These next few weeks our kids will gently transition into their new classroom routines while having tons of summer fun! There will be water days for our preschool friends and pool days for our elementary summer campers! Everyone will get to have fun on the Bounce Houses at the end of the month as well as practicing for the event of the year: The 4th of July Program (more details to come!).
We are SO EXCITED to have a fun summer with your sweet kids!
As always, thank you for being part of our Redeemer family. We are so blessed to share this journey with you!
Blessings,
Caycee Hunter

☀️Swim Safety🩱
☀️ Sun is out, and it’s time to bring out the water safety reminders too!
We all get excited to pull out the swimsuits and jump into summer fun, but before the pool parties and beach days begin, let’s talk about a few simple things that can help keep our kids safer around water.
👀 Designate a water watcher. One adult should always have the sole job of watching the kids in the water. No distractions, no phones, no switching off unless there’s a clear handoff.
🩱 Be mindful of swimsuit colors. Certain colors are easier to see under water — bright neon orange, pink, yellow, and lime green tend to stand out, especially in pools or lakes. This doesn’t mean tossing every cute suit you already own, but moving forward, keep visibility in mind when you shop.
🚫 No running near the water. Sounds basic, but it’s a rule we constantly have to repeat to excited little ones.
👶 Even shallow water can be dangerous. Kiddie pools, bathtubs, splash pads, if there’s water, supervision is non-negotiable.
📚 Teach kids water rules early. Things like “don’t go in without an adult,” “always ask before swimming,” and “no pushing or dunking.”
🌊 Enroll in swim lessons when ready. The earlier kids are comfortable and skilled in water, the better but supervision still applies no matter their level!
Let’s make water play fun and safe this summer. ❤️
