A Small School Designed for Big Growth
Redeemer Lutheran School’s microschool kindergarten offers a warm, nurturing, faith-filled environment where children learn through hands-on exploration, nature play, and developmentally appropriate academics. With a class capped at 15 students and led by a degreed early childhood educator, our program provides the individualized attention every child deserves.
Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum blends research-based instruction with a whole-child, play-focused approach.
Phonics
Heggerty Phonemic Awareness – daily, explicit routines that build strong reading foundations.
English Language Arts
Fishtank Learning (Common Core aligned) – rich, high-quality texts, vocabulary development, comprehension, and early writing skills.
Math, Science & Social Studies
Aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning, taught through hands-on investigations, projects, and integrated daily experiences.
Religious Curriculum
A developmentally appropriate Christian curriculum focused on Bible stories, God’s love, prayer, and character development.
School Day
- Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Class Size: Maximum of 15 students
- Teacher: Led by a licensed, degreed educator
- Before & After Care: Before care is included! After care available through Redeemer CDC (optional).

Resource Classes
Students receive weekly enrichment taught by specialized teachers:
- Art
- Music
- Library
- Chapel
- STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & math)
- Live and Learn Lab (our kindergarteners become curious explorers as they discover the everyday skills that help them grow with confidence. This hands-on class introduces young learners to the basics of taking care of themselves, their classroom, and their community-all through playful exploration and age-appropriate activities.)
- Optional After-School Sports: dance, soccer, martial arts, golf, tennis (additional fee)
Tuition & Fees
- Annual Tuition: $10,000 ($9,000- until Feb. 27th)
- Payment Schedule: 10-month payment plan, billed monthly
- Application & Special Events Fee: $190
- Deposit: $500- will be applied to your first tuition payment (non refundable)

Visit the classroom, explore the campus, and ask all your questions. - Student Screening & Interview
A brief readiness assessment and opportunity for us to meet your child. - Complete the Application & Pay Fee
Families receive notice of acceptance within a few business days.
